Project Stage

CYGON has been under development for two years by a dedicated team of two. We are approaching our first major release, but currently, the software is available through an Insider Program. This program allows early adopters to test the software, provide feedback, and help shape the future of CYGON.

Recently, CYGON has taken a strategic turn to focus more intensely on the prototyping phase of video game creation. This shift allows us to refine and enhance the tools most critical for game developers during the initial stages of game design, ensuring a solid foundation for building captivating virtual worlds.

Join us on this exciting journey and be part of the revolution in 3D environment creation. Stay tuned for updates and become an insider to experience the future of digital design with CYGON!

Introduction

CYGON is currently designed with a strong focus on the prototyping phase of level and environment design, particularly useful during the block-out phase of video game development. This phase is crucial for laying out the basic structure and elements of a game level, allowing designers to quickly iterate and test ideas.

One of the core concepts of CYGON is its powerful linking system between objects. This system enables every element in the scene to interact seamlessly with each other, preventing clipping and automatically adapting to modifications made to linked objects. Whether you are creating walls, floors, windows, doors, or placing various objects, CYGON ensures that all elements dynamically recompute and adjust based on changes to their linked counterparts. This interconnected approach significantly speeds up the prototyping process and enhances creativity by reducing the need for manual adjustments.

Different parts of the UI

CYGON’s user interface is designed to be intuitive and efficient, allowing you to focus on creating and designing. Here are the main components of the UI:

  1. Toolbar:

    • The toolbar contains essential tools for creating and manipulating objects within your scene. It provides quick access to various functions such as selecting, moving, rotating, and scaling objects.
  2. Scene View:

    • The scene view is where you visualize and interact with your 3D environment. It allows you to navigate and manipulate the scene from different angles and perspectives.
  3. Hierarchy:

    • The hierarchy panel displays a structured list of all objects in your scene. It helps you manage and organize your objects, making it easier to select and modify them.
  4. Inspector:

    • The inspector provides detailed information and properties of the selected object. You can modify attributes such as position, rotation, scale, and other object-specific parameters.
  5. Assets Library:

    • The assets library contains a collection of pre-built objects and elements that you can drag and drop into your scene. It includes a variety of assets such as walls, floors, windows, doors, and other objects to help you quickly build your environment.
